International carriersYou will need to deliver your pet(s) to the Cargo Terminal 3 - 4 Hours prior to flight departure. This time varies according to each individual airline’s requirements and directions will be given when the booking has been made. PBS will meet and assist you with the paperwork upon request if required. Pets have priority and will be the last to be loaded onto the aircraft and on arrival at your chosen destination will be the first to be unloaded. All pets must be cleared through customs on arrival at your chosen destination, either by yourself, or if pets are travelling unaccompanied, then by your chosen representative. Please note there will be local handling and customs charges to be paid on arrival at the final destination this varies according to each individual airport and you will be charged upon collection.
Cathay PacificPBS have been nominated the official agents for Cathay Pacific for both inbound and outbound pets. We have agents in Hong Kong, who are able to arrange any import permits or CITIES documentation.
Continental AirlinesContinental Airlines have ceased flights from and to London Gatwick and now operate from and to London Heathrow and Manchester. We can also arrange flights out of Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh. On arrival in the UK, you will need to collect your pet from the animal reception centre. PBS will arrange for pet release notes to be lodged at the animal reception centre once they have passed the DEFRA checks and customs, this could take up to 4 hours after flight arrival. EmiratesPBS have been nominated as official agents for Emirates airlines for pets travelling into London Gatwick Airport. Please download the Emirates pet travel guide for more information. Please contact us in advance if you have pets arriving via this service or if you require a quotation for pet relocation to the Middle East.
United AirlinesPBS are the approved partners for United Airlines. Please note all pets traveling with United Airlines will be required to have an acclimatization certificate and will be refused travel if the temperature is forecast to exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit at any point in the animal's journey. United Airlines does not accept the following short-nosed dog breeds, or mixed-breed dogs exhibiting the short-nosed characteristics of these breeds, from June 1st through September 30th of each year.
