Please note this checklist applies to animals being exported from the UK ONLY.

1. Request Booking

2. Confirmation of booking received from PBS

3. A Valid Health Certificate is always required by the Airline - this is normally obtained from a DEFRA authorised LVI vet and is valid for a maximum of 10 days, the departure day must be within this time frame. We also recommend that your pets be Microchipped and have a Rabies Vaccine together with a supporting certificate. These are guidelines only as all countries have different requirements, you must check with your vet and the local authorities at your chosen destination to confirm their specific requirements.

4. For the USA an Acclimation Certificate is required, this is applicable to USA owned Airlines and will need to be obtained from your vet, please see recommendation & clause. For British Airways & Continental Quick Pak service this is not required.

5. Travel Kennel - Must have ventilation holes on all four sides, two water trays with absorbent material and blanket/bedding for the base. We recommend to freeze one of the water trays. Please allow for bedding and then allow for at least three clear inches in all dimensions of the kennel. Containers must be the correct size for your pet to avoid Airline refusal, please go to kennel size to check.

6. No toys are permitted, no food, no sedation and the lead/collar has to be removed.

7. Please do NOT feed your pets on the day of departure, only water.

8. Meeting point at London Gatwick.

9. Meeting time is 3 or 4 hours prior to departure dependent on the airline this will be advised at the time of booking, we recommend that you arrive earlier to allow your pet/pets to stretch their legs and relieve themselves after their car journey, prior to being delivered into the airline in their container.

10. Please ensure you provide us with an accurate weight of your pet/pets, as some of the airline's charge items are based on the combined weight of the animal and container. The Airline will check weigh the animal inside the container upon receipt and the final weight may result in additional charges being incurred.

Check container weights here.
